FundVision.BIZ How to use/understand the Analysis.
|
In general an Iron Discipline is required for successful trading. One must study the markets at regular interval (perferably every day or even many times during the day). The Analysis presented here serves as an easy tool of understanding where the markets had been and where they are likely to go. Some of the analysis presented here (almost) goes beyond the capabilities of human eye (the divergence). It also gives important clues about where the covered Funds/ETFs have been and where they are likely to go.

| Overall Description: |
The Analysis Page is made-up of 8 columns.
- Index Charts
- Market Breadth
- Market Analysis
- MERWIN Rankings
- CMO Warnings and Alerts
- AccuTrack/MAM Warnings & Alerts
- High Yield Analysis
- Merger Analysis
Each of the column has dates seperating the individual analysis within. They are arranged in reverse chronological order.
|
| 1. Index Charts: |
This column links to individual charts which display the visual analysis. Significant levels are marked on the charts. Most likely the indices find support/resistance at (or near) these levels.
The charts for the following indices are analyzed:
- DOW Jones Industrial Average
- S&P 500
- NASDAQ Composite
- Volatility
- Russell 2000
- McClellan Oscillator and NASDAQ
- McClellan Oscillator and NYSE
- Breadth
At times, some charts other than these are also posted which are found to be of some interest.
|
| 2. Market Breadth: |
This column links to individual text analysis for the 'breadth' of the market. Following 'breadth' analysis is posted:
- McClellan Analysis
This is found to be a very important (at times leading) analysis. It displays the 'divergence' between NASDAQ, it's McClellan Oscillator, and it's McClellan Summation. It also displays the 'divergence' between NYSE, it's McClellan Oscillator, and it's McClellan Summation. A divergence between McClellan Oscillator is usually resolved by the Index following the direction of the Oscillator.
It is important to note the DISHA (direction) and DigBheda (divergence) between the Oscillators and the Price. This is done in the analysis. More detailed explanation is available at the bottom of the analysis page.
- Negativity Analysis
This text analysis is for the negative aspects of NASDAQ and NYSE. It analyzes the 'New Lows', 'Decliners' and 'Down Volume'. It is found that when negativity is down and going lower, going 'long' is profitable.
- High Low Analysis
This text analysis is measuring how's the trend for the New Lows and New Highs and how's the internal strength for the new Lows and New Highs for NASDAQ and NYSE. When the trend and internal strength for New Lows is declining, it is found to be profitable to go 'long' and vice-versa.
- STIX Analysis
This text analysis is measuring when the Markets are highly/mildly OverBought/OverSold based on the STIX values. This analysis gives recommendation based on the STIX for both NYSE and NASDAQ markets.
- Breadth Thrust Analysis
This text analysis is very similar to the McClellan Analysis. More explanation about Breadth Thrust is given at the bottom of the analysis page.
All of these analysis are color coded and intersperced with text messages for easier understanding.
|
| 3. Market Analysis: |
This column gives links to MACD Market Analysis for each day. The Analysis gives the DISHA (direction) and values of the MACD histogram and MACD for all the major market indices - Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, NYSE Composite, NASDAQ Composite and Russell 2000. Colour coded text gives how the interpretation stands for the major market indices.
|
| 4. MERWIN Rankings: |
This column links to individual groups of Funds/ETFs that are 'ranked' by MERWIN algorithm. The analysis also displays the 'Stability', the Most Anchored Momentum and the AccuTrack analysis.
- MERWIN
This analyzes and ranks the Funds/ETFs by MERWIN algorithm. The ranking results in Funds/ETFs scoring out of 5 scrores. The Funds/ETFs that are doing well (and are expected to do well) get a score of 5.
- Stability
This analyzes how 'stable' the Fund/ETF has been within the group. The most stable fund gets a score of 100 and the least stable fund gets a score of 0.
- MAM (most anchored momentum)
This displays the momentum the Fund/ETF has for moving up. The Fund/ETF with more momentum gets higher score.

All of these rankings are color coded for easier understanding.
