I just cut and pasted this from the NY Times. The Asia Pac markets are up big. Not all market moves are "news" related. Often markets just want to go up regardless of the news.

"In a speech to Israel's Parliament, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon warned today that Middle East diplomacy would stall if "terror runs rampant," and he pledged to "hound the terrorists" until Palestinian security forces cracked down on them.

The speech came only hours after a visiting Egyptian delegation failed to win a cease-fire pledge from Hamas and other militant Palestinian factions during two days of talks in the Gaza Strip. "
