Absolutely not. Not in the relevant sense. You may consider a toaster or a microwave oven a WMD, but that's completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that the US justified the legality of this war by assuring us that they had irrefutable evidence that Iraq possessed weapons that were PROHIBITED BY THE RELEVANT UN RESOLUTIONS. not toasters, not microwave ovens, and not a bunch of has-been terrorists from the 1980's lying around licking their wounds--a specific and detailed list of prohibited weapons.
We were assured that iraq had prohibited scud missiles, and weaponized chemical warheads, etc. There were specific quantities of such mentioned. Whether or not we eventually find anything, the fact that we have not found it yet proves that these details were entirely fabricated.
At the time, we were told that the US had the intelligence, but could not reveal it becuase it would endager the sources. That is clearly no longer the case. The fact that they are not revealing it now, proves to me that they were flat out lying.
Let's use some common sense here
good idea.
