It appears that there is considerable activity happening with regards to upgrades and improvements to the oil extraction and transport facilities in Alaska, as shown by the processing of construction and operating permits. Perhaps this is merely related to the improved pricing in oil & gas products. I am curious as to what is going on at the Canadian oil sand processing facilities as the published oil cost is around $10/bbl and the "off-the-record" cost is closer to $7/bbl.
