I do not have any doubt, Salil, you are too quick. I thank you for creating Fundvision.
In my opinion, in many ways, Fundvision is better than some of newschannels. Guys here are 'real' persons expressing their own views. There are no 'middle guys' reporters/editors to bend, twist & edit opinions of people who are in front!
Allow me to go step further & speculate: Excellent bulletin board such as Fundvision will someday replace some contents of newschannels.
In my opinion, it is not good idea to move to stocks. 'My' reasons for using mutual funds & UITs.
a) Diversification:
Mutuals Funds are diversified. Risk control is built-in!
b) Monitoring:End of day Mutual Funds do not need real-time monitoring.
c) Overtrading:Impulse/fear/greed 'daytrading' is automatically controlled for end of day mutual funds. My apologies to 401kdaytrader!
d) Volatility:In my opinion, this point is built-in because of (a). Mutual Funds are less volatile by design.
e) Trending:In my opinion, this point is built-in because of (a) & (d). In my opinion, trend of Mutual Fund lasts longer than trend of a stock.
f) Availability:In my opinion, it is not possible for everbody to find 'good' stocks & bonds in all sectors, subsectors, emerging markets, foreign countries & junkyard.
If supposedly 'expert' Mutual Fund managers are finding 'good' stocks & bonds for me, I am rather happy to look at charts & decide who is going to be 'my' expert for now
Allow me to say: Mutual funds managers are NOT experts
